 French Impressionist artist famous for his pastel drawings and oil paintings. "Christ in the Storm on the Sea of Galilee" - 1633 -  Rembrandt https://bohomedesignart.etsy.com/listing/1554689868 Dutch painter and printmaker Rembrandt (15 July 1606 - 4 October 1669) is one of the most important painters in European and Dutch art history.  The work titled "Christ in the Storm on the Sea of Galilee", painted by the artist in 1633, is an oil painting on canvas.  The work is the artist's only sea view painting.  Detailed presentation of the scene, varied expressions of the figures, relatively polished brushwork and bright colors are characteristic of Rembrandt's early style.  The painting demonstrates the young Rembrandt's ability not only to represent a sacred history, but also to capture our attention and draw us into an unfolding pictorial drama.  The painting is in the collection of the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston.
